

Our Program
Comox Valley Recovery Centre is classed as a Supportive Recovery Centre providing opportunity for up to 30 men, 19 years of age or older, to engage in established addiction recovery strategies to support wellness and provide multi-level services in support of their recovery journey. CVRC utilises a combination of evidence-based and 12 step approaches to be as accessible as possible to as many clients as possible.
Who We Serve
CVRC welcomes all who identify as Male, whether by assigned sex or identifying as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community to support their process to overcome substance use challenges.
Group Sessions
Group sessions focussed on evidence-based methods in addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and 12 step focussed sessions are required for all clients to attend Monday-Friday with 4 sessions daily between 9am and 3pm. Saturday 2 sessions are held in the morning and clients are encouraged to engage in recovery related activities for the balance of the day with a visitation day on Sunday.
Individual Sessions
Weekly individual counselling is provided and required for all clients to participate at least once per week for the duration of their program to support their plans for recovery and help work through issues contributing to addictive behaviours.
Program Length
CVRC is an inpatient program where clients are required to live on premises during their 30, 60, or 90 day program with all necessities of life are provided including food and lodging during their stay.
CVRC also provides 4 beds for second stage clients to support their re-entry into society in their newly found experience of recovery for up to an additional 6 month period to receive counselling, support, and a safe space to navigate the challenges of life after addiction.
Recovery Community
Clients are required to participate in a minimum of three recovery oriented group meeting each week and are highly encouraged to find a sponsor to help support their ongoing sobriety.
