The Comox Valley Recovery Centre was founded in the early 1970’s as a men’s in-house recovery centre.
We are an abstinence program that is based on the twelve-step model. Over the years, we have striven to incorporate different approaches
and models of recovery, such as evidence based and a First Nations perspective to serve as many diversified clients as possible.
We use an anti-oppressive and empowerment approach to work side by side with our clients to support the outcomes that they desire.
We are developing an ongoing holistic program that covers all aspects of our clients lives such as life skills training,
conflict resolution and spiritual strengthening. Our caring and compassionate staff are trained to support the needs
of the client base we serve. Our clients are encouraged to attend outside meetings in order
to put into practice the tools they have been working on.
We are constantly looking into new and better ways to help the people we serve.
